September's birth flower is the aster - a star-shaped bloom with a ring of fine petals radiating from a bright centre. Its name comes from the Greek word for star, and the flower itself has long been associated with whispers of patience, hope and valour.
Each aster pendant is sculpted by hand with polymer clay and a needle in our Auckland studio. In terms of colour, we've chosen a soft, dusky lilac for the September birth flower. It's gentle enough to feel delicate but distinctive enough to be noticed. It's quietly optimistic... after all you're carrying a small star with you!
